Georgia: a journey to the origins of the vine
Once a month, this event invites you to explore an episode from the Des Vignes et Des Hommes (Vines and People) documentary series co-produced by Grand Angle Productions, the Fondation pour la Culture et les Civilisations du Vin and Arte France. The presentation and documentary screening will be followed by a tasting of two wines with a Cité du Vin sommelier.
In this evening’s documentary, Georgia: a journey to the origins of the vine by Pierre GOETSCHEL (colour, 26 min, English with French subtitles), you will discover that the vine and wine itself were born here, more than six thousand years ago.
This series is supported by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in partnership with National centre of Cinematography (CNC).
Véronique Lemoine, Scientific advisor of the Foundation for wine culture and civilizations and co-author of the book ‘Des Vignes et des Hommes. Quand la Vigne Sculpte le Paysage’.
