[CANCELLED] Bordeaux, vineyards by the water
Starting : 7pm
Duration : 1hr15
Once a month, this event invites you to explore an episode from the Des Vignes et Des Hommes (Vines and People) documentary series co-produced by Grand Angle Productions, the Fondation pour la Culture et les Civilisations du Vin and Arte France. The presentation and documentary screening will be followed by a tasting of two wines with a Cité du Vin sommelier.
In this evening’s documentary Bordeaux, vineyards by the water by Gil Kébaïli (colour, 26’, English with French subtitles), you will discover why the world’s most famous wine region has become a real paradox. You will find out how in the land of the Gironde with its damp climate, constantly exposed to water from both the ocean and the river, people have transformed these natural constraints into true assets.
This series is supported by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in partnership with National centre of Cinematography (CNC).
With: Henry Clemens, wine columnist, editor in chief of cultural magazine Junkpage and co-author of the book ‘Des Vignes et des Hommes. Quand la Vigne Sculpte le Paysage’.
In partnership with: The interprofessional council of Bordeaux wine
