Various parts of Cité du Vin are available for private events: the lounges, reception areas, rooms, auditorium and Belvedere can be tailored to suit your needs.

We can now accommodate up to 1,000 guests for sit-down dinners and 1,500 guests for cocktails (on different levels).

  • perfect for such events as cocktail receptions, meetings, congress, conventions, gala evenings, team buildings and incentives; 
  • Organise team buldings: workshops and guided tours with our cultural mediators ; 
  • Potential for private hire of the entire Cité du Vin for large-scale events.

Thomas Jefferson Auditorium 

The Thomas Jefferson Auditorium, an original and unique architectural space designed by XTU architects, is one of the key elements of what La Cité du Vin has to offer. It can host:

  • Thematic meetings, conferences and seminars
  • Plays, concerts and dance shows

The adjacent reception rooms La Fayette can be transformed into reception areas or relaxation areas for breaks, meals, cocktail receptions or exhibition stands.

La Fayette meeting rooms

Located on the first floor of the Cité du Vin, the La Fayette meeting rooms offer panoramic views of the Garonne and the Chaban-Delmas bridge. This bright, contemporary space is perfect for organising:

  • Cocktail receptions, lunches and dinners
  • Product launches and presentations
  • Meetings, conferences, workshops

The rooms are modular, enabling more intimate spaces to be created for events hosting up to 300 people for cocktails.

Availability: every day, subject to availability
Capacity: 300 people for cocktail receptions, 216 people for sit-down dinners
Equipment: 2 screens – 1.82 x 2.92 metres / 2 video projectors / high-performance sound system – microphone, headphones and speakers throughout the room

From its height of 35 metres on the eighth floor of the Cité du Vin, the Belvedere – the culmination of the permanent tour – invites visitors to discover the Gironde city from another perspective, like a watchtower. In this space overlooking the river, Bordeaux, its city, vineyards and surroundings spread out around you from all sides. A monumental chandelier made of thousands of bottles and a 10-metre-long oak counter make this location even more, unique.

The Belvedere is available for private events during the evening, including:

  • Cocktail receptions
  • Product launch events
  • Exceptional receptions and soirées

Convivium space

Located on the first floor of the Cité du Vin, the four rooms making up the Convivium space are available to be privately hired for work meetings of up to 15-50 people.

Kantharos room: 15 people – 24.5 m²
Dolia room: 15 people – 24.5 m²
Kylix room: 40 people – 53 m²
Amphora room: 50 people – 78 m²

Availability: every day, subject to availability
Equipment: 65-inch touchscreen, interactive flat screen TVs – compatible with tablets / furniture suitable for children

6th floor meeting rooms

Located on the sixth floor of the Cité du Vin, three meeting rooms are available to be privately hired for work meetings of up to 6-24 people.

Melchior room: 24 people – 40 m²
Salmanazar room: 14 people – 25 m²
Imperiale room: 6 people – 12 m²

Hall Garonne

Located on the ground floor of the Cité du Vin, the Hall Garonne is the perfect place to host cocktail dinners up to 400 people.

Availability: every evening outside of public opening hours
Capacity: up to 400 people
Size: 550 m²
Amenities: private entrance, access to terrace and gardens.

La salle des colonnes

With the flexibility to tailor the space to your needs, the Hall of Columns offers a total floor area of 669m², perfect for such events as cocktail receptions, sit-down meals, exhibitions, workshops or product launches.

Availability: every day and evening, excluding temporary exhibition days
Capacity: up to 600 people
